LONDON FASHION WEEK: HOUSE OF DEREON

So my best friend in my head has been one busy B- yep that's right Beyonce- between that baby bump, performances, tours, promotions behind her new fragance Pulse by Beyonce and now London Fashion Week- does this woman ever sleep? I'm sure the answer is no but the hiatus is probably upon us once baby Dominique Giselle Carter is born....hahaha hey a girl can dream can't she...

Anyhow in true diva from- B traveled over the pond recently to showcase her newest and revamped collection of the House of Dereon with her mother- Tina at Selfridges during London Fashion Week this month. And of course my girl was still uber sassy rocking a fully sequined blazer and trousers in all black along side her modern woman of a mother. Speaking of the mommy to be and her mother- this collection pulled inspiration from just that- the MOTHERLAND itself with a tribal vibe. Check it out and tell me what you think

Of course- always cool and comfortable- the maxi dress is a Spring/Summer musthave

I love the use of the tribal print- it added to the drama of the full skirt

The fluidity of the maxi skirt is always feminine and flyy
Mesh makes the look along with the purity of the purple and the turban ala June Ambrose is perfect

This black Jumpsuit is definitely Jumpin Jumpin and very very Beyonce

This dress reminds me of my everlasting love for Emilio Pucci's S/S 2011 collection showcased this time last year

And you all know your girl loves some sequins- especially when set in a high waisted trouser- where can I get these B?

Shout outs to Beyonce and Mama Tina- the line definitely was a stepup from the usual collection of draped dresses and I give you an A for a cute comeback!!

WILL YOU D.I.E FOR Z.O.E.??? THE RACHEL ZOE COLLECTION REVIEW

So any fashionista who has ever aspired to be a stylist in America...operative word America...knows who Rachel Zoe is...I'm sure the lovelies across the pond do as well...but uberstylist Rachel Zoe is known to all of those who have ever dreamed of styling celebs. As most fashionistas aspire- Rachel Zoe has decided to create her own collection and I just had to check out if any pieces caught my attention. I will say while she has the eye- I was a bit unimpressed by all she provided. While these pieces are pretty FABULOUS they are definitely not for the frugal and there were only a few that I would as she would say D.I.E. for and I'll tell you why and then you can check for yourself

Issue 1: Rachel showcased a few pieces on her hit Bravo TV show- the Rachel Zoe project- one being a fully fabulous 70's style revival of the scrunched ankle jumpsuit in a craving of the color camel I would kill over-only to not release it in any of the major stores...ummm yeah DISAPPOINTED and then also Nordstrom's showcases this scintillating sequins oversized black and white blazer in its advertisement but not available for sale- WHAT THE FCUK???? yep

Issue 2: While I understand fashion repeats itself- with someone of her plethora of knowledge and skill I expected a little more innovative for the price point. Meaning she hit us with a faux fur vest which we all know RZ loves, a Chanel remake cardigan (duh) and coordinating chain bag which was made with calfhair which I will admit was a nice touch and then her remake of the coveted BIRKIN...hmmm

But like I said take a look and tell me what you think I could be wrong. By the way, RZC can be found at Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, ShopStyle.com, Bergdorf's ...helll at any luxury retailer I'm sure

Silk Georgette blouse available in Ecru & Black- perfect with suiting or denim
Neiman Marcus- $295

Military Inspired Jacket and Pantsuit-Perfect paired with aforementioned Silk Blouse
Neiman Marcus- $395 pants $575- jacket

Now yall know I love sequins- and this Dolman top with coordinating pant comes in Creme as well
Neiman Marcus- top $295 pants $295

We all know that Rachel will D.I.E. for Chanel- so here is the featured cardigan paired with the Georgette Blouse and mini short as well as the black calf hair chain bag
Neiman Marcus Cardigan-$395  Shorts- $195

This jacket was absolutely adorable belted with covered buttons & my only must have
Bergdorf Goodman- $595

This double platform pump is also available in camel
Neiman Marcus- $295

Fell in love with this boot- it reminded me of the last season Christian Louboutin's with the covered buttons
Neiman Marcus -$695

Back of Boot

In a beautiful bordeaux color- this platform is too perfect with the crocodile underlayer
Neiman Marcus- $295

The Audrey Bag is made of authentic snake skin and paired with gold hardware for that pure look and feel or luxury
Neiman Marcus - $525

The Pamela bag is sure perfection- because I love a big bag made of black pebbled leather and paired with gold hardware to pack my whole life in and it comes with a crossbody strap
Neiman Marcus- $495

Finally the Calf Hair Chain Bag- modeled after Chanel- this bag isn't that bad I just think that nothing tops the 2.55 ever
Neiman Marcus- $350

So ladies and fashion gents- hoped you enjoyed and leave some feedback regarding Miss Rachel

AN EVENING AT THE EMMYS 2011 (IN MY HEAD)

So as soooo many others are anticipating the return of Sunday Night Football...I myself look forward to Sunday Night Fashion and this year's Emmy's were no different. Now I'm no E! Fashion Police or Joan Rivers for that matter. I'm just an aspiring fashionista with an open mind and even more open opinion about what's HAUTE and what's NOT when it comes to fashion especially during awards show and last night was no different.

Hosted by the always jokingly funny Jane Lynch- she was absolutely regale and radiant last night

This was just one of several dress changes for Lady Lynch of GLEE stardom

Then there was the color of the evening-RED...although I am not a big fan of this hue- these ladies were absolutely ravishing and I had to rank them high on the
BEST DRESSED LIST

Adrianne Palicki                   Guiliana Depandi-Rancic of E! Fashion Police

But the best dressed LADY IN RED- had to be Kerry Washington in....the beading..the red lip...the hair-everything was sheer perfection including the dress-LITERALLY

And the best dressed BOYS IN BLACK had to be the MEN OF ENTOURAGE

Nothing sexier than a GROUP of well groomed gentlemen

Then there were ladies in a slight reddish-orange and similar mermaid silhouette that I just had to take notice of

                                                       Nanci O'Dell of Entertainment Tonight

Sofia Vergara of ABC's Modern Family Fame- A Winner of Outstanding Comedy Series

Other Misses with Major Fashion Hits Were:

Amy Poehler was a beauty in this deep ocean blue sequined set

Brooke Burke- take notice of the duo colored under pleating of her dress

This color was a breath of fresh air on Aimee Teegarden

I don't think I am the only one in love with the newly refined Kelly Osbourne that we have seen in these past few years

Black wasn't just another basic go to this year with a bold mullet skirt worn by Cobie Smulders
and now for the WORST DRESSED-some may agree or disagree or both...but hey I call em' like I see them

Alan Cummings- Do I really need to explain what's wrong with this picture? Didn't think so!!

With the exception of the hangbag- I don't know what it is...whether the print...the color.. the one shoulder ruffle...the empire waistband..everything about this says "I GOT IT AT ROSS"

In my opinion there is nothing special about this dress...it just looks cheap and basic

She looks like she's going to ACL which coincedently this past weekend....did someone screw up and post the wrong pics...(I'M ON PUNK'D aren't I??)

HMMMM where do I began- the bed head, the tan bed body, the bad posture, the baby bump/beer belly that's not supposed to be there...WRONG WRONG WRONG

And then sadly there is the jawdroppingly gorgeous Julianna Margulies who disappointed me in this space cadet couture which did nothing for her girls up top and was just bad fashion in my opinion

So there you have it- my recap of my evening at the EMMY'S-more to come for Fashion Week!!

SHE AIN'T SLEEP ON MY SEQUINS: ALL HAIL QUEEN B....

And in true fashion form my friend in my head- Beyonce Giselle Knowles-Carter does not and did not disappoint this  Fashion Week 2012. While visiting the J.Crew showcase with equally as fabulous and sassy sister- Solange, Beyonce paraded looking too pretty in an eye-pleasing golden get-up dress by J.Crew and paired with a simple pair of tan Christian Louboutins. B and her baby bump look beautiful and that's why we should all hail QUEEN B...cuz just like me...SHE AIN'T SLEEPIN ON THE SEQUINS and neither should you
