MARCH MADNESS: SXSW STYLE RECAP

As March comes to end- I wanted to recap some of the fabulousness of the fashions that caught my eye during this year's 25th Annual South by Southwest Musical Festival here in Austin. Only at SXSW can you catch the coolest bands showcasing whether independent or represented by major labels.

While awaiting for the highly anticipated Sucka Free Show by the one and only Snoop Dogg held at the Pepsi Max Venue at 3rd & San Jacinto, I spotted an undeniably adorable pair of friends. I loved everything about their look from lady on the left's lipstick red mini to her lovely lady friend's billowy blouse and coordinating canvas kicks- topped off with their chinese cut and whimsical bangs
This guy grabbed my attention with his garage band inspired garb and self-embellished 80's washed denim jacket complete with studs and chains and spikes that he all placed himself. I absolutely adored his geometric stoned necklace for an added edge
This doll was a definite headturner and photographer that I met at the Hip Hop DJ sets Friday Night at Suite 101. I lusted for every piece of her pret a porter from her fringed and flowy earrings, crossbody bag which is definitely on trend for Spring and printed leggings with booties. Let's not forget that au natural coif that crowned her head

This was finally the end of SXSW on a Sunday- I found this mother of 2 grown children with the most flattering figure that I could see even beneath this beautifully bold colored trapeze dress. She later informed me that it was a "JUST BECAUSE" gift from BCBG given to her by her hubby. Talk about love- another definite trend this Spring is colorblocking and this honeysuckle & haute pink number is definitely nouveau

And the fabulous finale/pie de resistance was when yours truly ran into the fashion aficienado himself, Mr. Fonzworth Bentley post the Bun B and Erykah Badu showcase. Her was so alluring in his downplayed yet dapper digs- a far cry from his usual suited and booted look. He definitely left me enamored with his effortless style while on the search for his good friend, Erykah Badu.

All in all the fashions of SXSW were simply fabulous and I can't wait until next year's festival for more fashion and music fun

Signed,

Fashionably Yours,
